It sure has been exciting here in City Heights! To start, whoever told me it doesn't rain in San Diego lied, because it just keeps coming! One of the best parts about being on a bike (haha...) is that when it rains, you get wet, soaked in fact. Elder Sammons and I have had a lot of fun trying to stay dry in this crazy weather, but, we have not succeeded and the work doesn't stop, no matter the forecast!
Another interesting thing from this week is that, after being on a mission, I have learned that just about every missionary has some sort of musical talent... except me. So, naturally, I did the only sensible thing there is to do. I bought a guitar and started teaching myself. We will see how that goes haha.
We have had some cool activities this week, including a fun service we did in old town with our zone. We had the opportunity to help clear up a park that was getting over grown with ivy and other plants. It was cool to see how good the park looked when we were done!
We also had a Charla Misional with the ward we are serving in Sunday night. It was kind of like a fireside where some of the missionaries and members spoke about some basic principles of the gospel, and we as the missionaries serving in the ward sang a musical number together.
I also had the opportunity to attend the temple with the ward and the other missionaries in the ward this week, which was a wonderful and uplifting experience as always!
I hope you all have a wonderful week and I know it's going to be another exciting week here in sunny (hopefully) San Diego!
Love, Elder Hanna
