It's been awhile!

Hey everyone, sorry I missed last week, it was a busy day with transfers and everything! But I am happy to tell you all I will be staying in Barrio 20 and Elder Sammons is staying with me!

Another exciting change is that, a Spanish branch in our stake was dissolved, so all of the members from that branch will now go to our ward, INCLUDING the missionaries. We now have 5 companionships in our ward! That's crazy!

Anyways guys, not much else has changed since you have heard from me. We have kind of started over in our area, but things are looking really good and I know we are going to have an awesome transfer with some success! I just know it!

I love you all!

More Rain!

Hey everybody, it has been another week of rain here in San Diego! I love the rain but it sure can get old when you're riding a bike haha!

Not much new to report on this week. We have unfortunately had to move on from every one we have been teaching because they have showed little interest or are not willing to keep any commitments we leave them with. But the good news is we have been blessed with a few new people that have seemingly come out of no where. The first is Marisol who we taught last night in her home. We taught her about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was really good! She had questions and really wanted to understand the why and how of it all!

Then we have Jose and Jonathan, who are friends of some youth in our ward who we met at a game night that was set up by a member of the bishopric. They have been coming to church the last few weeks and we have our first teaching lesson with them tonight!

That's about all the exciting news I have for you guys this week. It is the last week of the transfer, so next time you hear from me, I may have a new place to call home again! I hope everyone has an awesome week!

I love you all!

Camp Wildwood

Hey everyone I hope you have all had an amazing week! I know mine has been pretty all over the place.

So the main highlight for this week was our trip to Camp Wildwood up in Ramona, which is a little north of Poway. We were able to spend a day playing a bunch of games, catching up with other missionaries, and doing team building activities with your our districts. One of those activities was climbing a big wall together which was one of my favorite. We had to work together to get all 11 of us over in silence.

After the activities we had some training from President and Sister Stubbs on why it is so important to extend commitment invitations to those we talk to. It is because the whole point of what we do as missionaries is to invite others to come to Christ, and one can only come closer to our Savior if we act.

We finished the day with a hike to the top of the Mountain next to the camp. There is a giant cross on top of it because the camp used to be a Lutheran camp before the church bought it and they never took it down. It was really cool to be able to look out over where we had just come from. We took pictures as a district which I'll add to this email.

Guess what guys?? It is STILL raining in California! People kept telling me when I first got here that it doesn't rain here, but I am starting to not believe them! Anyways, it's nice to see the rain, I've been able to stay dry lately so I enjoy it a little more than I did a few weeks ago.

Anyways not much else that was exciting happened this last week. Elder Sammons was sick yesterday so we weren't able to do much. I split with him and another companionship of Elders so we could go give a sister in district a blessing, but other than that we were stuck in the apartment all day. He is feeling better today so that is good.

I love you all! Hope you have a wonderful week!
