Transfer Tuesday

Hey everybody! Another week down in San Ysidro and one transfer done! I've been blessed with leadership, a great ward, and wonderful new friends, some who are from just up the street at home. I could not have asked for better support in my first area.

I had my first transfer document come out yesterday. It was kind of a tough day, two new, but good friends are leaving. One, sister Meza, a Mormon Batallion sister is done with her out bound, and Elder Towne, our district leader, from Gilbert, is going to another district in the zone. But the good thing is, the sister from Queen Creek stayed, Sister Williams, she's awesome, and of course I'm still with my trainer. With that, we also found out a new rule that's affecting the whole west coast, we can't eat with members anymore during the week. We have to be done with dinner by 5 and do "finding" from 5-7.

In other news, there is a lot of unrest at the border, which I live on. Trump has ordered troops at the crossing because of that caravan. I literally just drove by as I'm writing this and I saw them. Also we went on a hike yesterday morning to have one last fun thing with the district, and we saw two runners. They came out of the bushes and dove back in on the other side of the rode. It's wild out here.

To end on a good note, we sadly couldn't have our weekly meeting with the Torres family last week, but we will be seeing them Thursday and are going to find out the best date for their baptisms! I am so excited for these wonderful people to enter the waters of baptism and begin their journey back to our Father in Heaven. Although the trials of the life of a missionary are often overwhelming, there have only been a few other times in my life when I have felt the joy that guiding others to our Savior Jesus Christ brings me.

I love you all!
